The Franklin Art Association will meet on Wednesday, February 2, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel Mc Cahill Street.

Refreshments and socialization will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The program will feature Beth Newman, who holds a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design in 2003, has worked primarily in watercolor, graphic design, and mixed media (collage work), and oil painting in a more illustrative style geared for children’s book illustration. She has taught in small art studios including the former Whitehall Farm Studios of Hopkinton (children and adult), independent painting workshops at Bunkhouse Creative of Holliston, and recently at the HCA. She will be discussing and demonstrating her approach to creating her works.
