Library Hours

The Franklin Public Library will be closed Thursday, November 11 for Veterans Day. The Library will be closing at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, and closed on Thursday, November 25 for Thanksgiving. The Library will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the day after Thanksgiving. The Library’s regular hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 1:30-5 p.m.

Big Library Read!

November 1-15, 2021

Franklin Public Library Joins the Largest Global Digital Book Club in Offering New York Times Bestseller Page-turning thriller Five Total Strangers ebook and audiobook available November 1st for reading and discussion with global audience.

From November 1-15, booklovers can join over a hundred thousand others around the world in borrowing and reading Natalie D. Richards’s suspense thriller, Five Total Strangers, from their public library. Franklin Public library card holders can borrow the ebook and audiobook for free without waiting by downloading the Libby app or https://minuteman.overdrive.com/ Readers can then discuss online at https://biglibraryread.com/join-the-discussion/.

Big Library Read is available in over 21,000 libraries and thousands of schools around the world, including approximately 90 percent of public libraries in North America. The program is facilitated by OverDrive, the leading digital reading platform for popular ebooks, audiobooks and magazines.

Big Library Read is an international reading program that connects millions of readers around the world with an ebook through public libraries. Five Total Strangers is the 26th selection of this program which began in 2013 and takes place three times per year. Homework Help Program Starts Monday, November 1st

The Franklin Public Library will start its free Homework Help program for grades 1-8 Monday, November 1st. The program will take place Monday through Thursday, 3-5 p.m. Students will be assisted by either retired teachers or high school students. Find the 3 Waldos hidden around the children’s and teen rooms in the library, tell a staff member where you saw them, and win a prize!

Santa StoryWalk! Saturday November 27th, 10:30 a.m.

The Franklin Recreation Department and the Franklin Public Library are teaming up again for a cozy winter walk with our favorite Man in Red! Bundle up and meet us at DelCarte Park for a special story walk, followed by cookies and cocoa!
