Santa Foundation launches new scholarship initiative
The Santa Foundation is proud to announce the launch and administering of its newest community initiative: The Bob and Elaine Sullivan Memorial Scholarship - a scholarship program created to support graduating high school seniors who are pursuing careers dedicated to helping others.
This newly established scholarship initiative honors the legacy of Bob and Elaine Sullivan, whose lives reflected compassion, generosity, service, and dedication to community. Their commitment to helping others inspired countless people and continues to influence the values at the heart of Santa Foundation's work today.
Beginning in Spring 2027, the Foundation plans to administer these scholarships to graduating seniors who have demonstrated community involvement, compassion, and a desire to pursue careers in fields that support children, families, and communities. Eligible areas of study may include education, healthcare, social work, mental health, public service, nonprofit leadership, and other helping professions.
"We believe that investing in young people who want to make a difference creates longterm positive change for our entire community," said Executive Director Pam Formosa, from Santa Foundation. "This scholarship is about more than financial assistance - it is about encouraging and recognizing future helpers, caregivers, mentors, and community leaders."
Community members, businesses, and supporters interested in contributing to the scholarship initiative may also donate directly through the Foundation's website. www.sfjoy.org/donate.
