In early May, the Central Massachusetts Emergency Medical Systems Corporation recognized the Franklin Police Department and Franklin Fire Department with the EMS Service/Organization of the Year Award for their outstanding dedication and service to our community.

The award stems from an incident last year in which Officer Dave Gove and Officer Amanda Ayer, working alongside members of the Franklin Fire Department, performed successful life-saving measures on a newborn experiencing cardiac arrest.

This recognition is a testament to the professionalism, teamwork, and commitment shown by all involved during a critical moment when every second mattered.
