FRANKLIN, Mass. — The Town of Franklin is
excited to announce it will host two World Cup watch parties as an official
community in the 2026 MetroWest Regional Fan Zone, celebrating
soccer matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ taking place at Gillette
Stadium this summer. The Town will welcome residents and visitors to
downtown Franklin for these events and is actively seeking local vendors to
participate. Vendor applications are now open. The Franklin watch parties will take place on Wednesday,
June 24, and Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 3 to 9 p.m., with
programming centered on the Franklin Town Common and a designated beer
garden at Hayward Manor. The event will feature live match viewings on a
large outdoor screen, along with local entertainment, food and
beverage vendors and community activities celebrating international soccer
and local culture. Part of a coordinated regional initiative led by the
MetroWest Boston Visitors Bureau, the Fan Zone is designed to create a
shared viewing experience for one of the world’s largest sporting events
while drawing visitors from across the region. Organizers anticipate strong
regional attendance, positioning downtown Franklin as a central gathering
place during the tournament. Local businesses, food vendors, artists and community
organizations are encouraged to apply to be part of the event. Vendor
opportunities are available for both days and will play a key role in
creating a vibrant, festival-style atmosphere. Space is limited and
priority will be given to local and regional applicants. “This event is about creating a shared community
experience that brings people together in the heart of Franklin,” said Cory
Shea, director of arts, culture and the creative economy for the Town of
Franklin. “We’re excited to partner with local vendors, artists and
