Highlighted Franklin Senior Center May Programs

On Friday May 8, the Franklin Senior Center will host “Meet the Unsung Heroine Behind the New Deal” with a historical performance about Frances Perkins, the first woman to serve in the US Cabinet. And don’t miss Senior Olympics!

Frances Perkins Comes to Life! 1 p.m., Step back in time as Historical Portrayals by Lady J brings trailblazer Frances Perkins to life. Discover the remarkable story of the first female U.S. Cabinet Secretary, her role in shaping the New Deal, and challenges she faced.
