Franklin, MA - Orchids 101, a program on growing and caring for orchids, will be the featured presentation at the Tuesday, May 5, 2026, Franklin Garden Club meeting, 6-8:30 p.m. at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill St.  Orchid experts Linda Abrams and Mike Badia will discuss a variety of topics related to orchids. An informal social get-together will take place from 6- 6:30 p.m. followed by a business meeting and the program. The meeting is open to the public at no charge. 

“Orchids 101” will include tips on the basics of orchid culture, including good types of orchids for growing in the home, watering, fertilizing, light requirements, potting mixes, repotting and pests.  There will also be an orchid repotting demo. Speakers will highlight their favorite sources for orchid plants, orchid information on the web, and the Massachusetts Orchid Society (MOS).
