Harvest Festival Offers Dean College a Chance
Dean College’s student radio station, 88.3FM, will provide music on the quad.
Bill ingram, Dean of Sanders School of Business at Dean College, couldn’t be more excited Franklin’s Harvest Festival has been extended down Main Street to include the college campus.
“We’ve always been one of the top sponsors, and we had a booth out there, but because it kind of ended there, we’ve never had it on our campus,” says Ingram. “We’re going to do our best to open up the campus. Come in and check it out!”
The festival provides a perfect opportunity for the school to invite the community past its gates and hang out, says Ingram. Children will enjoy a $5 unlimited ride on a trackless train in Dean’s quad area, and folks will enjoy music by Dean’s student radio station, Power 88.3FM, a mix of classic rock and modern hits. Sodexo, which runs the dining hall at the college, will also be on the green with some food and beverages to offer festival goers.
“We might end up with some student performance as well,” says Ingram.
The college has also generously opened up space across the street to the YMCA, which will hold some children’s activities in front of the Ray House.
