Attorney Daniel Cardinal of the Franklin Law Group has been practicing as a civil trial attorney for more than 30 years.
“Most of my career was spent practicing as a trial lawyer in the Boston area. I have tried multiple civil litigation jury trials to successful verdicts in courts around the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,” said Cardinal, who has lived in Franklin for over 35 years. “In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I disbanded my Boston law firm, where I was managing partner, and moved my law practice to Franklin.”

Franklin Law Group resolves wrongful death of single mother with two minor children
A recent case resolved by Attorney Daniel Cardinal related to the wrongful death of a single mother that occurred in the State of Texas; she had two minor children.
“The single mother was a passenger in a car that was rear-ended by another driver in a truck. The single mother was killed instantly. The single mother was in the State of Texas trying to start a new life for her family. Her two children were in Massachusetts waiting for their mother to bring them to Texas to be with her.”
Franklin Law Group brought claims against the negligent truck driver but there was no insurance coverage available, and the driver of the truck had no other assets available. After investigating the insurance coverage of the car in which the mother was a passenger, plus the single mom’s personal auto insurance, the firm identified uninsured motorist insurance coverage.
Franklin Law Group was then required to initiate probate in the Massachusetts Probate Court to establish and administer the single mom’s estate for the benefit of her two children.
All assets were identified and liquidated for the benefit of the minor children. Franklin Law Group then created a long-term trust for the children to ensure the proceeds would be administered for them at key points throughout their lives.
