The salon and permanent makeup clinic is situated inside a sunny unit at Medway Mills where it offers various salon and makeup services. Permanent makeup (aka “cosmetic tattooing”) services include permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, lipcolor, faux freckles, plus camouflaging of radiation marks. They also offer saline tattoo removal, a more comfortable alternative to laser tattoo removal.

“Our permanent brow services are very popular amongst clients who have lost their natural brow hair due to illness or injury: chemo/radiation, alopecia, thyroid issues, etc. We’ve done permanent eyeliner services on many clients with trichotillomania, who have little to no natural eyelashes left. We’ve done permanent lip color on clients who have severe scarring along the mouth from previous injuries, to totally reshape the lips. We’ve done freckle tattoos to camouflage the look of old acne scarring. And we offer free radiation mark camouflaging for cancer survivors, where we turn old gray/black tattooed ‘dots’ into realistic-looking brown freckles.” 

The Glow Factory opened in Medway last year and, before that, was located for many years in Milford where it won the 2022 Business of Distinction Award from the Milford Chamber of Commerce.

Finally, Dillon says, if you want to “wake up with your makeup,” here’s the best way to choose the right PMU artist: Read every single review, find their full credentials list, and look at their healed work examples (because permanent makeup looks one way when freshly done, and a totally different way once healed). “You should love at least 70% of their healed work examples. If you can’t find reviews, credentials, or healed work examples, there might be a reason for that. We don’t expect to be the right studio for every single client, and we’re totally cool with that. We want you to go to whoever feels right for you!”
