The Friends of the Franklin Library will be holding their book sale at the Department of Public Works garage (257 Fisher Street) starting on Friday, May 17, with a Members’ Only Night from 4-7PM. New members are welcome to join at the door and take advantage of the best selection. Individual membership is $15.00, family membership is $25.00. The book sale is open to the public on Saturday, May 18th from 9AM-4PM. A bag sale will be held on Sunday, May 19th from 9AM-Noon. Buy a bag and fill it for $5.00. There will be a "Special Price Section" for ‘rare finds’ and newer books, CDs and DVDs at low prices.

We could use your help and are looking for volunteers to set up, clean up and work the spring book sale. Set up begins Tuesday May 14th, from 9AM to 3PM and continues for the same hours Wednesday, May 15th, Thursday May 16th and Friday May 17th. Volunteer’s hours are also needed for the sale Friday 4PM-7PM, Saturday 9AM-4PM and Sunday 10AM-1PM. Community service hours are available. Certificates will be issued. Call early to get on our list. If you have books, CDs or DVDs to donate, please bring them to the Franklin Library during normal hours of operation.
